Play Therapy and Counselling Services for children
Empowering healing through innovative, integrative therapeutic approaches for children, adolescents & families
Pioneering Excellence in Play Therapy
Axis Therapeutic Services supports children and families through evidence-based, play-centred therapy grounded in neuroscience and therapeutic relationships. Since 2019, we’ve been delivering thoughtful, developmentally informed support that recognises play as a child’s natural language for expression, learning, and healing.
Our approach is grounded in neuro-relational play therapy, integrating neuroscience, attachment theory, and child-led play to support emotional regulation, resilience, and healthy development. We work with children of all abilities, including neurodivergent children, using strategies that honour how each child’s brain and nervous system uniquely functions.
Through a combination of therapeutic play, movement, sensory experiences, and nature-informed practice, we create safe, engaging environments where children can grow with confidence and families feel supported. At Axis, we believe lasting change happens when science, play, and connection come together.

Neurodivergent-Specialised Support
At Axis, we provide affirming, neurodiversity-informed therapy for children with ADHD, autism, sensory processing differences, high sensitivity, and PDA profiles. We understand that regulation, movement, sensory needs, and autonomy are not problems to be fixed — they are part of how a child’s nervous system works.
We never force eye contact, stillness, or neurotypical expectations. Instead, we follow the child’s lead, work with their sensory profile, and create therapeutic spaces where they feel safe to be themselves. Many children who struggle in traditional therapy thrive here, because we work with their brains, not against them — supporting growth, confidence, and emotional wellbeing in ways that feel respectful and empowering.
